The Doctor's Visit

Have you ever been to the doctor’s office and then they hand you that mental health survey? Sometimes it feels more like a checklist for “Are you an entrepreneur?” Am I right?

Entrepreneurship is stressful. Even healthy entrepreneurship is going to be stressful. Not all stress is inherently evil. Stress happens when we push ourselves and apply pressure to our comfort zones.

Learning how to hire employees for the first time, structuring a deal, or even putting your product out to the public for the first time is a stressful event. That’s okay. What is important to do is to be sure you are checking in with your own mental health. Understand your warning signs and know when it is time to take care of you. No one will benefit from you burning out and being unable to continue your efforts.
